Le 18ème congrès européen de l'EOC s'est tenu à Paris du 22 au 25 mars 2018. L'exposition internationale avec son jugement et le colloque scientifique constituent les principaux évènements du congrès européen. Le thème retenu pour la partie colloque est "Quel avenir pour les orchidées". Les conférences ont été organisées en quatre sessions sur deux jours et complétées par des présentations de posters. Les résumés ou textes de ces présentations sont réunis dans ces comptes rendus publiés dans ce numéro spécial des Cahiers de la Société Française d'Orchidophilie.

The 18th European Orchid Council Conference and Exhibition was held in Paris, 22-25 mars, 2018. It consisted mainly of an international exhibition with judgement and a scientific conference. The topic chosen for the scientific conference dealt with "What future for orchids?". Oral communications were organized in four different sessions over two days and supplemented by poster presentation. Abstracts or texts of these communications are included in these proceedings published as a special issue of Cahiers de la Société Française d'Orchidophilie, which is a journal edited by the French orchid society (SFO).
